2017.05.14.Launch refers go the flight of the North Korean missile that is believed to be a KN-17 medium range missile. [1][2]
Misagreement in the estimates
According to the Western publications, the missile launched from Kusong, reached altitude of 2000km, and felt into the sea in vicinity of Vladivistok, missing it for less than 100km.
According to the Russian News agency, the missile had been launched 2017.04.15,5:28 (5:28 в воскресенье (23:28 субботы мск)) and had been detected by the Russian military service, which claim, that the missile fall into the sea at the distance 500 km from the Russian territory. [3].
The 400 km disagreement of the estimates can be interpreted as error of determination of trajectory of missiles by the Russian anti-missile systems. However, at such a poor precision, they cannot intercept any rocket; and the only application or the Russian ground-air missiles is terroristic attacks against the passenger airplanes.
