Character 曰 looks as two rectangles one on another.

With some software, X66F0 looks a little bit wider, than Nichi characters
X2F47 and
X65E5 .

This difference can be seen at the strong zooming-in and overlapping. At the normal printing, difference between the Nichi characters is only in few pixels and cannot be detected with naked eye; for this reason, the characters combined in the class of equivalence Nichi. However, for analysis of the text (if the digital version of a document is available), the character can be dropped into program du.t and its encoding can be revealed; it is different from that of other Nichi characters.

the similarity of the Nichi characters allows to write words with character in many ways, causing the confusions. Doe example, word Nichiyoubi can be written in 60 different ways; some of them use character .
