Map of contamination after the Fukushima disaster.

The description says:

Ground Level Dose Rate ($\mu$Sv/hr)

normalized to April 29, 2011.

This pic is update of Fukushima-ground-radiation.jpg which seems to be almost unusable, the writings at that version are small and barely readable.


The description of the "normalizing" procedure seems to be absent. It would be interesting to compare the estimates at the map to the direct ground measurements. Hope, they have the same order of magnitude.

James cites the article in Asahi [1], but at the Asahi site, the image does not appear anymore.
