Novitchok may refer to Novichok, новичок, that denotes a strong poison, chemical weapon, developed and fabricated in Soviet and Russian institute Niioht (Нииохт) and the chemical weapon industry at city Shihany (Шиханы)

Novitchok is considered as weapon, used by the KGB agents since time of the USSR.
