Ruvim did not have much staff: Sandals, jeans, shirt, tetrad, pens, pensil, bottle of water, small old bag. It was all he was allowed to carry from Kirian. The old cowl and the new soft biper for Ruvim had been supplied by the Cathedral. Ruvim was ordered to wear the cowl.
Soon Ruvim was invited to the mess. The head of the project, Ohta Izuverina, was small old woman. She become with the old pray:

Then Ruvim had to tell about his works at the Springfield Biologic Laboratory and at the Galia National University of Tartaria. It looked as an interrogation rather than a presentation. All the data were stored at the Federal Library of Tartaria; Ruvim and the staff of the Cathedral were supposed to help the Interface to decide, which part of the indications should be stored also at the Kristovina National Library. Ruvim was supposed to confirm that there are no mistakes in the interpretation of the primary data.

Only at the end of the ceremony, Ohta Izuverina had explained to Rugim his new job.
Ruvim was supposed to program the maximal likelihood of distribution of Hunan genes in the genotype of the first humans, Adam Void and Eve Void. However, the staff of the Kristovina Cathedral already tried to consider several hypothesis and had suggested several hypothesis. They used the methods that claim to reconstruct the DNA sequence from remains many thousands of years old.
During several days, Ruvim felt the euphoria related to the new topic of research that seemed to be very promising. Ruvim had recommended the DNA analyzers and the radioisotope analyses. The new bosses or Ruvim were glad to spend the huge foundation for the expensing but meaningful purchases. At the beginning, the project had advanced well. Ruvim lost the count of days.
Ruvim revealed that the problem includes also reconstruction of genotype of Cain and his relatives. The task was difficult. There were too few evidences to refute the huge multitude of possible options..
From day to day, Ohta Izuverina was more and more content with the approach suggested by Rugim. As for Rugim, his skepticism begun to increase.
Ruvim round, that the estimate of the precision and fidelity of dating by the unstable isotopes, mainly to the Carbon-14, are too optimistic. The main problem happened that the initial distribution of the isotopes in the bogies of the ancestors, while they were alive, is difficult to estimate. Those, who used to eat the fresh vegetables, who consumed the isotope from the atmosphere, had high concentration of the unstable isotope. Those who had eaten the sea animals, who used to eat the deep water creatures, could have concentration of the unstable isotope for orders of magnitude lower.
In addition, Tartaria, since the Bigpuf, seemed to be a worst place for such kind of research; the high contamination with unstable isotopes made the radioisotope analysts not efficient. Practically, they had to work with foreign archeologic samples, found var from Tartaria.
Ohta Izuverina was about to employ two young girls at the slave market, and use them to give light to the models of Adam and Eve, in order to model the spreading of human races. Ruvim has explained that the distribution of the genetical information in the offsprig is not a deterministic process, and the predictive ability of the result will not be high. The additional problem was, that there was no unique version of DNA code calculated, that could would show the likelihood significantly higher than other similar versions. In addition, in the most of versions, at least one of the First Humans was black, and that contradicted the most of canonical images related to Christianity. Ruvim was supposed to help to resolve the problem: in order to revise the doctrine about race of first Humans, the strong evidences were supposed to be achieved.
The model looked very attractive due to its simplicity, in compare to models with tens of various version of Homo claimed to live at Europe and Africa some hundreds kilo years ago. So, the huge Kristovina National Grant had been assigned in order to boost the antropologic research at the Cathedral. The Kristovina administration did not want to follow the pattern of the Medieval Holly Inquisition, postulating any dogmas without the strong scientific background.
Following the Manual of handling dependants, Ohta Izuverina tried to pay Rugim so much attention as she could. Several times Rugim had to spend might in her apartment. Rivim felt himself guilty: his master tired to please him, but Rivim failed to achieve that the Kristovina Cathedral wanted from him.
Ruvim had performed the cross-correlational analysis; it was supposed to test, to confirm or to reject the claims of the project. The discussion between Ohta and Ruvim become more and more rigid. Most of colleagues were at the side of Ohta, she believed the commercial methods of dating and the standard methods of DNA reconstruction by the maximal likelihood.
One day, Ohta told to Ruvim:
- Pechor pro, tomorrow your sentence is over. You may leave us.
- But we have not finished the Project, - Ruvim said.
Then Ruvim had realized the meaning of the declaration by Ohta. Ruvim opened the calendar. Indeed, tomorrow was just two years anniversary since the verdict by judge Li Sitsin and three his colleagues took power.
- We can employ you as National Researcher and give you status "Resident", - Ohta said. - Perhaps, even citizen.. Do you want to be National of Kristovina?
- I cannot yet confirm the significance level of the concept you claim, - Ruvim answered.
- Well, you may stay one month more as a Resident, and then, I hope, we get the strong reason to nominate you for the National of Kristovina, - Ohta replied.
For the liberation of Ruvim, the special mess and fiesta had been organized. Priests, monks, and nuns were singing songs; then ate tartar, sashtyk and rosphoras, snacking on grapes and washing it all down with sweet Cahors and strong taburetovka. They sang spiritual psalms in English and German, accompanied by the cathedral organ. Ruvim mentioned, that in music, the Kristovina nationals are stronger than in the scientific research. Then the participants indulged in carnal pleasures. Izuverina grabbed Ruvim as her permanent partner and pulled him in to her apartment. The Kristovina customs were a little bit traditional and in certain sense, even puritanic. However, all that Ohta and Ruvin did was possible to observe through the webcameras, but formally, in public both Ohta and Ruvim tried to remain extremely polite and formal.
Mozdok Tsuker called Ruvim and Congratulated him with the liberation. Nata Kuskin was with Mozdok; she interrupted:
- Руви, ты что, идиот? Ты отказался от гражданства Тартарии? Ты что, не хочешь меня выкупить? Тебе, гадине, всегда было на нас насрать! Вместо этого ты, поднок, кувыркаешься там со своей новой старухой, ты мерзааааа!!!
Nata’s curses suddenly turned into a scream of pain. Nata was still wearing her old biper, the slave-collar; evidently, Mozdok had triggered the "pain" function. Ruvim closed the conversation.
Next day, Lesli Landov called Ruvim and hinted on the possibility to renew the collaboration. Ruvim evaded the hidden question.
Landov called Ohta Izuverina. They talked about use of Ruvim in the Research. Then Ohta, her colleagues and Ruvim had discussed the Ruvim's advances (there were not so much advances), the Galia National University and the future work.
Ruvim felt himself lost. During two years, he was not allowed to make any decision, and now he had to decide: does he want to continue at Kristovina or he wants to move to Galia.
The project was in serious problem. Ruvim felt that he cannot perform that he was supposed to do at Kristovina. The established methods he had to use did not pass the elementary cross-correlational tests; they did not provide the significance level declared. Ruvim had the similar problem at the USA, but now the case was much worse.
On the other hand, Ruvim did not want to meet with staff of the Galia National University of Tartaria. Ruvim remembered, that nobody wanted to buy them, while it was so easy to save both Nata and him from the heavy and dangerous work at the Murka Rail Road; just for one Tartarian fun each.
Ohta Izuverina had hired Ruvim as Resident Researcher with a one-month probationary period. Nothing had changed in the Ruvim's work and life. The only, since the hiring, the salary had been accumulated at the Ruvim's account at the Murka Bank. Ruvim worked at the same laboratory, as before, with the same colleagues. Ruvim used to eat the same "buffet" at the same eating room. From time to time, Ruvim had to sleep with old but still attractive Ohta Izuverina. She seemed to have no other partners.
The month passed. Ruvim was expected to renew his contract with the Kristovina Cathedral and perhaps to apply for the Tartarian citizenship, in order to get the status of the Kristovina National..
Early in the morning, the Gella's car stopped at the yard of the Kristovina Cathedral. The two girls were there: Indira Brahmin (new secretute of Lesli Landov), and Gella Ivanov (recently graduated researcher, author-consultant of the Tartarian Textbook Federal Commission).
Indira carried the empty rukzak. The girls climbed up Ruvim's cell. The locks are not popular at Kristovina; it was supposed that God carries about the security, and the web cameras help God in this honest activity. No one payed attention on the strange car from the neighbor farm and two strange girls moving indecently fast in a respectable and pious establishment.
Indira grabbed the staff of Ruvim into her rukzak, there was very few objects in the Ruvin's cell. At the same time, Gella awaked Ruvim with deep tender kiss. Then, without to say anything, the girls took Ruvim for his hands and pulled him down, to the car. Ruvim did not resist. Without to stop, the girls thought Ruvim to the back seat, and Indira jumped on his laps. Gella jumped at the driver seat and accelerated.
Indira was very qualified secretute. At least some of the secretute duties Indira had performed perfectly: Ruvim did not say any word.
There is no speed limit at Tartaria. Gella was a good pilot; especially if assisted by her self-written robot. Shattering the morning silence, the car roared and screeched as it burst onto the autobahn. No one even tried to pursue them.
The only Major Vissarion Derimordov, head of the immigration office at Kristovina Airport, awaked with the signal «unusual activity». Derimordov asked the National Library. The Interface revealed that the case refers to Ruvim Pechor, and redirected Derimordov to the Federal Library. The related persons had been indicated: Gella Ivanov and Nata Kiskin. Derimordov confirmed that Nata Kiskin is at Norga, in peace with her master Mozdok Tsuker. Derimordov confirmed the legal status of Gella Ivanov and Indira Brahmin. There was nothing suspicious about them. Derimordov confirmed the status of Ruvim Pechor: Resident of Tartaria; just finished the contract with the Kristovina Cathedral.
Derimordov asked from the Interface for the short summary. The answer was:
- «The old resident looking for a new job while screwing two bitches.»
- Nothing interesting.. - Derimordov said to himself and fell asleep again.
No word had been said among Gella, Indira and Ruvim since the beginning or the operation. But Gella guessed the wish of Ruvim and made a short "comfort stop": Ruvim hadn't had time to use the restroom at Khristovina Cathedral..
The car passed the ark with banner «WELCOME TO GALIA»; the same ark, that had banner «WELCOME TO KRISTOVINA» at its opposite side. Now Gella, Indira and Ruvim were at jurisdiction of Galia. Agent Smit reacted immediately:
- Гeлла, это ты хулиганишь?
- Dear Agent Smit.., - Gella tried to keep the formal mode and not to show her rapid breathing.
- I am carrying out my professional duties.. I should have done this a month ago, but better late than never.. Everything is legal, Ruvim's contract with the Kristovina Cathedral just has finished.
- Was it difficult to do the same in a more civilized way? - Agent asked.
- It is civilized, - Gella replied, - Look, Indira does Ruvim in the classic way!
- Gella, please, do not speed. You are save. There is no need to hurry-up!
Agent hanged the call and said to Barbara with a sigh:
- Absolutely crazy girl.
Ruvim begun to understand, what is happening. Indira climbed off Ruvim, recovered her breath and called Lesli Landov:
Boss, we got him.. I mean, Ruvim Pechor.. He is in good condition, I just checked.. We are approaching. We'll be in half-hour.. Look at my desk, I have prepared the paperwork to employ him.. Sorry, only for halftime: Gella needs him for the Textbook Commission.. That Federal Project.. Do you remember?..
Gella was not "absolutely crazy". First Gella and Indira delivered Ruvim to his cottage, the same that Ruvim had left two years and one month ago. The girls carefully washed Ruvim. While Po Lin brought some food, and the girls offered Ruvim the eggs with bacon and coffee. Barbara Smit was installing the stereocameras and the big stereoscreen, the important professional equipment for the heavy job expected from Ruvim. After an hour, Ruvim was employed as half-professor at the Department of Biology of the Galia National University of Tartaria. An hour later, Ruvim had been employed as half-editor by the Federal Textbook Commission. Then, Ruvim met Masha Gebistov and Ushat Pomoev. They begin to discuss the advances made while Ruvim was out..
Ohta Izuverina called Lesli Landov; she was very excited:
- Mein Gott, what’s going on here? Did you drag Ruvim Pechor away?
Lesli replied:
- Gutten Morgen, frаu Izuverina.. I am not yet God, but I try to answer: Yes, kind of.. Up to my knowledge, his contract with the Kristovna Cathedral has terminated today at zero am.. Is it so?
- Well, yes, but..
- We just have hired him.
- Your executives are so brisk..

Vasili Pupkin realized, that Po Lin had left without to prepare him the breakfast. As we remember, Po Lin urgently had to deliver some food to Pechor's cottage.. Pupkin traced the events. Then Pupkin called judge Li Sitsin:

Vasili Pupkin followed the advice by Li Sitsin. To be more precise, Pupkin passed the task on to Po Lin.
Po Lin did not spend much words. While Rugim had finishing shopping at the Po Lin shop, Po Lin had said him something in the language that Rugim did not understand. His biper tried to translate the Po Lin sentence, but failed. However, Po Lin saw the movie of kidnapping of Ruvim from Kristovina. So, she just kissed Ruvim, pulled him to her car and drew to the cottage of Vasili Pupkin.
Po Lin was a skillful cook. Vasili was skillful making the Kranberka and other kinds of exquisite taburetovka. Soon, Ruvim was drunk. Vasili and Po Lin easyly dropped him to the bed..
Once they had regained their composure, Ruvim had to listen the lecture on how to behave in Tartaria in order not to get into a scrape like the last time. Ruvim agreed to follow the advices by Pupkin..
For a while, the event around Rugim had been established. But only for a while. Ruvim has relatives.. However, that is another story.
