Encoding
Although characters 串 and 串 look similar at the screen, they may be interpreted differently by computers. In order to detect, that some of them is not supported by some software (to replace it to another Kusi), is is important to know the encoding; so, some programming is necessary to avoid errors.
The Utf8 encoding of Kusi characters can be calculated with PHP program ud.t; file uni.t also should be loaded. Then, command
php ud.t 4E32 F905
returns the following output:
K= 3 4E32 20018 [[串]] 串 Unicode character number 20018 id est, [[X4E32]] Picture: [[串]] ; uses 3 bytes. These bytes are: XE4 XB8 XB2 in the hexadecimal representation and 228 184 178 in the decimal representation F905 63749 [[串]] 串 Unicode character number 63749 id est, [[XF905]] Picture: [[串]] ; uses 3 bytes. These bytes are: XEF XA4 X85 in the hexadecimal representation and 239 164 133 in the decimal representation
With the known encoding, it is possible to avoid confusions of the Kusi characters.
