In Tartaria, there is no such a concept as «Privacy». All the events, actions are available in real time through webcameras and recorded. All the records are available in the National library of each farm and also in the Federal Library. The previous chapters could make an illusion, that the libraries appear by themselves and work without any human assistance. This chapter corrects the fault.
In Tartaria, the job of Librarian is one of the heaviest, dangerous, important and most respected professions, although, perhaps, it is not so clearly seen as the work of a livestocker, grainfielder, gardener, engineer, roadbuilder, cleaner or minister of communication.
Librarians constitute a small yet highly knowledgeable and influential segment of Tariaria’s population. It is the librarians who program the interfaces enabling any user to find information on a topic of interest in the database for free—or even to generate the most plausible answer should such information not be found in the database. Every Tartarian is proud to know a Librarian, to be a friend of a Librarian, to be in any kind of relation with a Librarian.
This chapter recounts the adventures of one Tartarian librarian and his relatives. It is a somewhat sad story. However, all of Tartaria is filled with sorrow and does not fit within the framework of so-called Western civilization.
Tim Tutu Muyabi is Afroamerican.
Tim Tutu Muyabi came from Washington DC.
Tim Tutu Muyabi served at the American contingent of the International Army that tried to stop Bigpuf,
and, finally, had stoped it.
Tim Tutu Muyabi was responsible for the storing and processing of data from the network of the webcameras that had monitored the territory of Tartaria.
Tim Tutu Muyabi worked under the direct supervision of Mark Arturov.
Tim Tutu Muyabi had to watch all the horrible things of the Bigpuf. All the cities had been destroyed. All the electric power stations were destroyed, including the Nuclear power plants. The storages of the nuclear waste too. Tim Tutu Muyabi had monitored the primary data about the nuclear contamination. Tim Tutu Muyabi has informed Mark Arturov and then all the people about the contamination. Millions people, including children, has been murdered in the conflicts between offees. Tim watched these records, analyzed them, sorted them. Usually, Tim worked with video records rather than with the people. That hard work made him a smart programmer and cynic philosopher, but a crazy autist in all other senses of the Human being..
After establishment of Tartaria, at the withdrewal of the International Army, Tim did not return to the USA. Gradually the computer center he was handling become the National Library of Galia. Tim handled it during tens years. Tim wrote various interfaces, that allowed the users to find and to interpret the primary data.
Tim's work is not visible. When everything goes well, nobody mentions this. Tim did not visit the Karl Brown Church. Tim did not visit Po Lin Shop. Po Lin delivered him the food. From time to time, technicians from the «Galia Electronics» visited him, delivering new servers. Few times, the deliverers from the «Galia Metal» used to withdraw the morally old servers. The amount of information stored in the library gradually increased; the «Galia Electronics» had to update the hardware of the Library. From time to time, technicians visited the Library, maintaining the sources of the elector power. Since the Bigpuf, in Tartaria, there is no centralized system of the electric power supply. From time to time Barbara Smit saw Tim, when she has to connect new buildings or a bunch of the new bipers to the Library.
The interfaces of the Galia National Library were considered to be best in Tartaria, even better than those of the Federal Library at Kristovina. The pahans of Galia had been changed every few years. Tim remained.
Tim was gripped by a mania; he had developed a psychosis. He was terrified of making a mistake or a blunder. Tim spent all his time at the National Library of Galia, running all manner of tests, checks, and data cross-references against the holdings of the Federal Library of Tartaria. He seemed to have no other interests or hobbies; only work, sleep, and food. Such obsessive individuals can be of immense benefit to society, yet simultaneously pose a serious danger. Doctor Glem Guardina and Police Chief Agent Smit kept a close watch on Tim and his activities.
Before each renewal of Tim’s term as Chief Librarian of Galia, Minister of Health Glem Gvardina conducted a medical examination. Tim’s physical condition was assessed as «satisfactory». His mental state was characterized as a «significant, yet non-dangerous deviation from the norm».
Since Nata Kiskin had visited Galia (and committed several bad things), the wording was shortened to «significant deviation from the norm». This caught the attention of the Minister of Police, Agent Smit. Agent began to monitor Tim more closely. The agent discovered that Tim showed no signs of harassment toward Barbara Smit. In Galia, the lack of harassment is considered as a kind of offense; not criminal, but still. Agent considered Barbara the most beautiful woman in Galia, and perhaps in all of Tartaria. Consequently, Agent was upset by this apparent lack of interest from side of Tim.
Agent asked Barbara about the matter. She shared the same opinion: Barbara didn't understand what she had done wrong; after all, Tim had never once kissed her or slapped her magnificent, voluptuous buttocks. It looked like a strange, dangerous mental disorder.
Agent and Barbara called Glem Gvardina and expressed their worries. Glem qualified the case with "severe progressive autism". Significant deviation, bu technically not an illness, that does assume any treatment.
Tim watched the discussion regarding himself. Po Lin was watching as well.
One evening, Agent said:
- Barbara, I saw our Head Librarian just ignores you..
- Should I be more active to him?
- I suspect, Tim loves you but is afraid to admit it even to himself.
- Maybe he's just afraid of you. You're very big and strong.
- Should I invite Tim to us?
- It looks as an illness.. Better, let us consult Glem Guardina first.
Again they dialed Glem. Agent explained the case.
Barara: Glem, do you think this can be dangerous?
Glem: Yes, it can.
Barbara: Can we do anything about this?
Agent: I think so.
Glem: You need to be careful. One error may enworse the case.
The pause had been interrupted with the call by Po Lin.
Po Lin (By video): Hello, world. You may need some non-traditional medicine.
Glem: Do you have it?
Po Lin (By video): Yes, I do. I can bring it.
Glem: Can you all visit Medpun?
Po Lin came to the hospital. Agent and Barbara were allergy there. Glen learned the specification of the "medicine". Po Lin, Barbara, Agent and Glem watched again few movies suggested by the Interface of the Galia National Database. En fin, Glem looked at Agent and Barbara:
Glem: We can make an experiment. Do you really want it?
Agent: Yes.
Barbara: Yes.
Glem: It should include ejaculation of Tim in your vagina. If success. Do you want it?
Barbara: Yes.
Agent: Yes. During several years Barbi cannot get pregnant.. May be, Tim will help her.
Glem: Can we do it right now?.. Well, hence I call Tim.
Glem called Tim: «Hello Tim Tutu Muyabi».
Tim (by video): Hi, Humans.
Glem: We need to analyze the reaction of your secretions with those of an individual of your own race but the opposite sex. We already have volunteer for this procedure. Do you have time for us?
Tim (by video): Yes. But..
Glem: Do you have time now?
Tim: Yes. But I have doubt about your plan..
Glem: So, please, come to us and express your doubts.. Can you?.. We are at Medpun.. So, we wait for you.
Tim came to Medpun. He had expressed his doubts. They were numerous. Tim is still American. Such kinds of "experiments" are not appreciated by the USA society. The "medicine" by Po Lin is not approved by the Western Conventional Medicicals. Tim is not sure if he can perform the action well. Tim is afraid that Agent and Barbara change their minds. And so on.
Tim’s last doubts was dispelled by two very deep kisses bestowed upon him simultaneously by Po Lin and Barbara Smit..
Director of the Biologic Department. Lesli Landov and his new secretute Indira Brahmin were together. They were looking the direct translation from the Medpun. Lesli told:
- Watch and learn how to handle shy visitors!
Indira promised to take lessons from Po Lin and Barbara.
The experiment of doctor Glem Gvardina was successful. After a month, it was revealed, that Barbara is pregnant.
In Tartaria, and especially in Galia, the genetic expertises are not popular at all. Usually, it is considered to be improper, indecent, offensive to identify the biologic father of a child. By default, the child is owned by his of her mother; any woman is free to use any ways to get pregnant. For Tim, the exception had been made. Tim Turu Muyabi had been identified as biologic father of the small female fetus in womb of Barbara Smit. However, just for the medical purposes, nothing personal.
Agent and Barbara were happy. They celebrated the conceiving at the Karl Brown Church. First time in his life, Tim Turu Muyabi personally visited the Church. Two young vestalkas, one by one, had felicitated Agent. Then they did the same to Tim. Following the tradition, Barbara tried to please all the parishioners. Bishop Charles Brown tried to attend in the similar way all the women. The only Barbara was restricted in ethanol-containing beverages, while she wanted to get drunk.
Next year, Barbra gave light to absolutely black girl Eve Barbara Agent. The first name was chosen after the name of the cameragirl Eve Hebb, staff of the Clever Times. From the point of view of Barbara, Eve Hebb had been sentenced unjustly: Barbara believed, the information must be free, and the camera operator cannot be responsible for the way her stereorecords are interpreted; name "Eve" was an expression of her protest. The birthday fiesta had been performed in the Medpun pool. Barbra had a lot of milk in her big black tits; small Eve was content.
Glem Guardin examined Barbara, her daughter, and Agent. Citing statistics, Glem suggested that Barbara would soon be able to conceive again with any man she likes. Barbara was overjoyed and pounced on Agent right there in Glem's office.
After a month, Glem Gvardina confirmed, that Barbra is pregnant again. Propriety was once again violated: Agent Smit had been identified as the biologic father. Barbara was happy. Agent too: soon, Eve will get a sister.
The Tartarian life style is absolutely not appropriate for the western civilization. Even worse, sometimes, such a style causes laud scandals. It is not easy to build up the relation of two partners. If there are many, the case becomes more difficult. One of such scandals happened in Galia.
Agent and Barbara with small Eve had visited the guest room of the Galia National Library. Tim Tutu Muyabi came out to meet them. Agent and Barbara had proposed that Tim Turu Muyabi become their husband.
Tim rejected. He said, he is not a barbarian, playing both meanings of this word.
Barbara burst into tears. Agent struggled to suppress his anger.
Tim again sank into a state of deep withdrawal and autism.
The Tartar custom of not conducting genetic testing holds deep meaning. Barbara said, she does not want a child not loved by his biologic father. Agent pointed out that Eva is incredibly beautiful and would grow up to be a wonderful Tartar woman. It was vain. Barbara fallen in hysteria. Pregnant women are easy to.
Barbara wanted Tim Tutu Muyabi. Tim Tutu Muyabi did not want to live with Agent. Barbara cried: «Either All, or nothing!». Barbara posted the short ad: «Small beautiful black girl for sale. Still needs breast milk.» Barbara hoped Tim to change his mind. This did not happen. Barbara called herself «блядь черножопая»; that term was used few years ago by Nata Kiskin and had been qualified as offensive and criminal.
Barbara: Your second name.. Do you know Ruvim Pechor?
Vitalina: My father. Well, it was before the Bigpuf..
Barbara: Ah, I see in your profile.. Sweet smart guy..
Vitalina: I look for a sister for my son.
Barbara: But you are at Komi.. It is supposed to be very cold there..
Vitalina: I have huge greenhouse. I can warm it up to 30 celsius..
Barbara: Ah, you warm it up with radioactive decay.. Hence, that's you!.. Amonalka Fillmoon!
Vitalina: Yes. Century Heater.
Barbara: Is it dangerous?
Vitalina: If Ruvim made a mistake in his calculations, we will all die.
Barbara: But you believe him?
Vitalina: Yes, of course.
Barbara: What are you doing there?
Vitalina: I look after the Century Heater. And collect the wood in the forest. For the stoves. The century heaters are too weak. Well, also, I grow the plants.
Barbara: Is that a permanent job?
Vitalina: One century, is it enough permanent?
Barbara: Yes, of course.. Do you have milk for the baby?
Vitalina squeezed a thin stream of milk from her breast.
Barbara: Thank, I see..
Vitalina: How much do you want for the baby?
Barbara: First, I need to see your place.
Vitalina: You are welcome.
Barbara: May I visit you tonight?
Vitalina: Yes, of course.
Barbara: Hence, I do. Bye for a while.
Vitalina: See you.
In the evening, Barbara landed near the Century Heater Testing Laboratory. She left small Eve sleeping in the flyer and walked around the laboratory measuring the density of ionizing radiation. It did not jump above the mean background level, typical for the relatively clean spots of Tartaria. Then Barbarа met Vitalina, and they performed the similar measurements in the cottage and the Greenhouse. Only then did Barbara take her daughter out of the flyer..
Early the morning, Barbara flew back. Alone. She landed at the Galia National University of Tartaria. Barbara fueled the flyer and parked it in the hangar. Barbara returned home. Agent was still there. Barbara collapsed onto his chest and burst into tears.
Small Eve left in the Century Heater Testing Laboratory.. She become very important person. However, that is another story.
After departure of Eve, mentally ill Librarian Tim Tutu Muyabi got worse. Bishop Karl Brown, doctor Glem Gvardina and shop-keeper Po Lin tried to help him. That is also another story. Perhaps, it is not yet loaded.
