"No, Donald Trump!" - Canadian Anti-Trump Song (Njet Molotoff Parody) Feb 25, 2025
"No Donald Trump" is a Canadian anti-Trump song based on Njet Molotoff, a Finnish Winter War anthem originally used to defy Soviet aggression. Repurposed to criticize Donald Trump, the song rejects his political influence, mockingly rebuffing his claims that Canada could someday join the U.S. as the “51st state.” With a defiant and satirical tone, the lyrics highlight Canada’s independence, free healthcare, and resistance to American gun culture. The repeated chorus, “No Donald Trump, No Donald Trump, we won’t let you drag us down into your swamp,” reinforces the message that Canada will stand strong while Trump’s “empire rots.” The song blends humor with political defiance, making it both a protest anthem and a patriotic declaration.

Lyrics:

No Donald Trump, No Donald Trump
We won’t let you drag us down into your swamp
No Donald Trump, No Donald Trump
Canada stands while your empire rots!

Out in the cold, out in the snow
Maple Leaves are flying while the northern winds blow
But Trump says: "Oh, you’ll join us someday!"
Sorry there, buddy—Go the hell away!

No Donald Trump, No Donald Trump
We won’t let you drag us down into your swamp
No Donald Trump, No Donald Trump
Canada stands while your empire rots!

Up in the North, up in the ice
We got free healthcare, yeah, isn’t that nice?
But Trump keeps saying: "That’s just not the way,"
Buddy, we ain’t trading moose for the NRA!

No Donald Trump, No Donald Trump
We won’t let you drag us down into your swamp
No Donald Trump, No Donald Trump
Canada stands while your empire rots!

From coast to coast, strong and free
We ain’t bending to your fake democracy
Try to take us? Oh, give it a rest!
We’ll send you home with some poutine on your vest!

No Donald Trump, No Donald Trump
We won’t let you drag us down into your swamp
No Donald Trump, No Donald Trump
Canada stands while your empire rots!

Historic context

The idea of Annexation of Canada cones from the apparent attempts of Donald Trump to keep the superior power in the USA. The presidential election cannot be performed during a big war; so, Donald Trump tries to organize the big long war.

The big long war is necessary also to his accomplice, Russian agent of KGB, war crime and usurper putin, see «Trump as KGB agent».

Trump practices in Newspeak

Both Donald Trump and putin (and their propagandists) use the special language «Newspeak» («Новояз») in order to confuse the people.

Term «Newspeak» is borrowed from utopia «Orwell1984».
The grammar of Newspeak is similar to that of English.
The semantic of Newspeak is opposite to that of English.
The Rule of Newspeak gives way to translate statements from Newspeak to English and back.
In Newspeak, the attempt to provoke a war is denoted as «making pease»;
attempts to respect the borders (established by the international agreements) are denoted as «provoking a war».

Using of Newspeak is often qualified as «misinformation», propaganda, lie, fraud. The translation from Newspeak to English with the Rule of Newspeak reveals the goals of Donald Trump; in particular, his goals related to Canada: to convert it to a colony of the USA and it such a way «Make America Great Again» (in a sense in which the USA were «great» two centuries ago).
Many Canadians dislike this idea. It is expected that Canada will resist against the USA aggression so strongly as Finland had resisted the Soviet aggression diving the World War II. The melody of the song about resistance of Suomi («Njet Molotoff») is used for song «No Donald Trump».

On the base of the historic analogy with events of the World War II, one may expect the American war against Canada to be not so successful as Trump depicts it.
In 2025, the conflict begins with so-called «trade war»: the USA put heavy tariffs for goods exported from Canada. The Canadian government respond with similar actions. Such a case is shown in the cartoon at right.

The «trade war» cause rise of prices and taxes - affording to promises by Donald Trump to reduce the prices, after the translation of those promises from Newspeak to English.

Warning

Attempts of Donald Trump to annex Canada (as well as his project of Annexation of Greenland)
correspond to the Hotentot moral (aka «Realpolitik», see picture at right),
confirm concept «Trump is KGB agent»,
look similar to the Hitler's annexation of Austria (Anschluss) and putin's Annexation of Crimea
and are expected to lead to the similar sequences (big war between NATO countries, collapse of USA, etc.)

Nevertheless, the copypasting of the text of the song is not an attempt to affect policy of the USA.

If the American people decide to destroy the USA [5][6][7],
then neither the scientific analysis nor the copypast of the song can help them.

However, Editor keeps his right (and even duty) to Call things with their proper names, to suggest definitions for euphemisms and other ambiguous terms, to construct historic models and to compare their predictions to a posteriori observations.

Looking at the sheer size of the American military, many people might believe that Trump would enjoy an easy victory. // That analysis is wrong. If Trump ever decides to use military force to annex Canada, the result would not be determined by a conventional military confrontation between the Canadian and American armies. Rather, a military invasion of Canada would trigger a decades-long violent resistance, which would ultimately destroy the United States.
