NewspeakDictionary (Словарь новояза) is a table converting the terms, expressions and statements used in propaganda from Newspeak into clearer language.

Term Newspeak is believed to be coined by George Orwell, it refers to his novel «Nineteen Eighty-Four».

Needs to interpret the events and phenomena of century 21 (especially, the appeasing aggression) make the term Newspeak useful.

To year 2026, in the most of English speaking countries, the censorship and the repression of unwanted writers are still far from those described by Orwell.
So, this Dictionary is slightly different from that described in «Nineteen Eighty-Four».

This Dictionary is constructed on the base of publications observed in the free access internet sites of century 21.
However, the terms and the interpretations may refer also to documents of century 20 too.
The semantic («interpretation») in the table below is based on comparison between the claim and subsequent observable events. If the events systematically contradict the literal meaning of a slogan, the slogan is classified as Newspeak.

Description

Often one treats the statements by propaganda as just a lie (mentira, 嘘, враньё), misinformation, fraud, typical, natural and unavoidable at any kind of fascism.

Here, the alternative approach is suggested, the "outstanding" interpretation, that is believed (by Editor and perhaps by ChatGPT) to provide the useful tool for analysis of publications and for modeling of the historic events, historic processes.

This approach is based on the Rule of Newspeak. This «rule» provides the most radical treat of a propaganda. It allow to extract the meaningful information from propaganda; the more propagandistic is the text, the more definite, more reliable is its interpretation with this rule.

Once some article, the content of some site, texts by some author(s) are identified as propaganda, then, by default, each non-trivial statement of that source is heuristically inverted. If such inversion is more consistent than the original, then the translation from Newspeak is considered as successful.

Usually, a statement, a sentence has several ways to be inverted. By default, the simplest should be chosen, that is most consistent with other observations and most self-consistent.

The dictionary above is constructed with goal to simplify such an interpretation.

The idea of such interpretation is not new; it is not an invention by Editor nor by ChatGPT. The similar case is described in the novel «Gelsomino nel paese dei bugiardi» by Gianni Rodari. The NewspeakDictionary is expected to help to apply the general rule to the specific statements of propaganda.
